Well now you have both!\n\nThe High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) uses specially prepared fuel pellets to heat coolant gas (helium) that\u0027s pumped in a closed loop through the reactor and heat exchangers. The reactor requires a constant supply of helium gas and power in order to power the pump that keeps the coolant loop working.\n\nThis reactor allows breeding of rare resources (§5Indium§r,§9Osmium§r), fissile materials (§aU235§r,§cPu239§r,§4Pu241§r), can supply you with §dLutetium§r and also unlocks alternative recipes for §dEuropium§r and §7Americium§r via the elusive §2Promethium§r.\n\nThe disadvantage of this reactor is it\u0027s expensive nature. Pebble reactors work by stuffing the reactor full of pebbles, none of which require rare resources but rather a large amount of common ones. Even though a lot can be recycled, you still need to keep the reactor filled to get decent speed.
